Nothing to worry, here we show you solved procedure to install Micromax PC-suite and connecting Micromax mobile to computer or laptop. The handset Micromax Q5 got popular in Indian mobile market. This is QWERTY handset with very nicely enhanced social networking applications such as, msn, Gtalk, Ebuddy and Facebook. It also having nice look compare to other Micromax Q series product. With this handset we get data-cable, PC suite installation disk, and headphone.
PC suite connection solved
Too many people’s, who had purchased this handset, getting problem when they are trying to connect handset through data cable to pc or laptop. In help file they have not included correct procedure that how to install pc suite and connecting mobile to pc.
Nothing to worry, here we show you solved procedure to install PC-suite and connecting mobile to PC or laptop.
How to connect Micromax Q5 to PC
Many of people who purchased this handset getting problem when they are going to install Micromax Q5 PC suite, it happens because in PC suite, they have not added the correct procedure and guide about installing. Nothing to worry now below you will find out the steps that show you how to install Micromax pc suite and how to successfully connect to PC.
Follow the given steps to connect your Micromax mobile to computer or laptop
- Insert the given mini CD (compact disk) into your CD drive.
- Now run or right click and open this file “install driver.exe”
- When you done above two steps now open the PC suite folder and right click and open or double click on “midisyn.exe”. Once it executes go for next step.
- Now open “phonesuite.exe”. You can see message below to
right corner of status bar that “disconnected”.
Now connect your Micromax cell to PC through given data cable with handset. When you connect cable to laptop or computer to mobile, in mobile it show three options to select, such as, mass storage, web cam, and com port. In these options you have to choose “com port”. - After selecting com port still PC suite shows “disconnected” below in right corner. But nothing to worry just follow next step.
- Now in the PC suite click on the “settings” in this click on general.
- In general, choose the “mobile phone” as 320 X 240 and now choose “com port”.
- In the “com port” there will two to three options it will
show. So you have to select one by one option (ex: com1, com44, com45 etc) and
when you selecting this “com” options keep watching status bar below in the
right corner. When your selection comes to exact “com port”, where mobile
device is presently connected in same port, then in the status bar it will show
“connected”. It’s all DONE here.
Now you have successfully connected your Micromax cell to PC. Now you can use all PC suite available options. Like, sending, deleting, reading, Inbox, outbox message, managing phone-book, images, melody, MMS, file management etc. Most important is you can also connect your Micromax cell to pc to use internet on connected computer. Installed PC suite have this option to create Internet connection and use your mobile as modem to connect to Internet.
- How to Use Micromax Mobile as Webcam

If you getting only one option in COM selection then go for it COM 3. If still your problem not solved then read above full procedure and apply.

Hey bgt,ppp link error is coming due to tata docomo server problem (sometimes it also happens due to network busy), try to connect after some time.

Hello Rahul, I also faced same problem whenever I'm dialing up it will getting ppp link problems, it is nothing but a "Network Busy problem" (from server) call your customer care for solutions.

May be your mobile is not connected correctly to PC, so sim section is not highlighted for selection. So read above article to clarify your doubt about connection mobile to computer.
I installed the pc suite and no matter which COM port i select, it is still saying disconnected on the right hand bottom corner :( what should i do?

There is no problem with your connection. When you connect to internet, in that session you can't use other pc-suite functions so it show disconnected. Its all going normal.

"The version of this file is not compatible with version of Windows u r running. Check whether you need an X86(32-bit) of X64(64 bit)version of the program, and then contact the software publisher"

First install drivers from CD, now run "midisyn.exe" file. Once you executed midisyn file, now open PC-suite directly.

@prasad: You can't use blutooth connectivity using micromax, there is no PAN in micromax (personal area network), In mobile bluetooth PAN is required to connect mobile to PC.

1- one error occur "cann't get ini file " during pc suit opening time.
2- in pc suit SIM Select option is not high lighting in dial up option.

hello PMS9 , I have the same settings for face book and opera mini browser. There is Opera mini browser working well but if log in to the direct face book application showing as login failed at the same time i can login facebook in opera browser. I contact the mobile operator also they told may be the application corrupted and request to reinstall. Pls advice me
Go to - facebook - option - network profile - now make changes as below.
1 profile mode : User specific
2. Select SIM : SIM1 (select Sim 1 or sim 2 in which Internet activated.
3. Java SIM 1 profile :scoll here to select received settings. (If using docomo it will show Virtual proxy)
4. Java SIM 2 Profile : here no needed to do anything here.

I have a Dell Inspiron i3 processor and I was trying to use my micromax q5 with a Tata Docomo connection for internet. I am facing issues. When I insert the CD and right click to open the file to "Install driver exe" I am unable to configure anything else, somehow I stumble and proceed to the "Phone suite exe" The device manager doesn't allow me run the program. I was connecting Internet in my Desktop thru Micromax Q5fb. But tonight I faced a problem. My mobile receives SMS but I am unable to open it. When I get into Messages menu and Enter "Write Message" it shows an error "Not Available". When I try to open Inbox, Outbox and more its shows "Loading" for hours. Also I am not able to connect the mobile to system. It shows an error "System Not Ready, Please try later". What could be the issue?
Hi Maddy, after install driver exe you have to run again this file midisyn.exe then go for COM settings.. For more details read n follow above steps.

I have not seen this phone in the UK, so perhaps it is just the Asian market that gets it, It looks like an INQ phone or Blackberry except those keys look nice and big and chunky, just what makes a good smart-phone good! Useful info. Thanks.
