Lord Ganesha is very important god in our Hindu religion. Before going to do any work people prays to god Ganesha. Hindus believes that Ganesha will secure them by saving them from negative powers. Lord Ganesha is very powerful god. He is son of Lord Shiva and Parvathi, and his brother name is Karthik. By Hindu rule before going to pray any other god, they first start praying to Ganesha then they starting praying other god, Because Lord Vishnu declared that first preference of taking Pooja is to Ganesha only then to others. Hence in India some people before starting any new work they pray to Ganesha. Lord Ganesha have many names such as Ganapati, Vakratund, Bhalchandra, Mahakaya etc. Every year there is big festival enjoyed in India in the month of August, September in between. The festival starts on Ganesh Chaturthi and its ends by 11 days. It is one of the big festival in India, mostly it is favorite festival for Maharashtra state. The Ganesh Festival and Chatrapati Shivaji Festival is introduced by Lokmanya Tilak. This festivals was introduced to built up the strength of Indian to fight against British Government and it gets successful at that time and such festival's are still running on as it is most interesting festivals.
