How to use Gtalk, Opera Mini and other Internet Application in Micromax Mobile

Using Micromax Q5 fb, I am going to show you how to do settings to use Gtalk, msn, facebook, ebuddy, opera mini, and other Internet related applications.  However, this given setting is also useful to almost all Q-series and other Micromax handsets. Micromax Q5 fb handset is loaded with too many Internet related applications such as Opera mini, Gtalk, Facebook, ebuddy, msn, and nimbuzz, also we can add more applications on our interest. But, It feels bad if we don’t know how to use these applications, or whenever we try to use it display errors like connection failed. It happens, because we have not given correct Internet settings to that application.

In Micromax, to use such Internet application we need supported Internet settings of that same handset. You can ask your service provider to get Internet setting for your handset. Now a day after, switching off and on / restarting your handset, your service provider automatically send settings. After receiving such Internet settings you have to save that setting as default. Use “Install” option in Micromax to save that SMS settings. After installing settings now you have to activate that setting for your mobile.

To activate settings first you have to select SIM (if you using two SIMS), go to ‘menu’, go to ‘services ’, go to ‘WAP’, go to ‘settings’, go to select ‘SIM’ (select SIM1 or SIM2) for which you activated Internet and settings.

After activating SIM, go to ‘profiles’, again select that same ‘SIM’ then it will show installed settings in your mobile, now select the ‘setting’ and ‘activate’ it.

Now your handset is ready to use Internet, for that, after completing above two steps restart your Micromax handset.

Opera mini is well known for browsing Internet on mobile, to use this application Go to ‘menu’, open opera mini, before starting (launch), go to “Network profile”, in profile mode, there is  two options ‘Java default’ and ‘user specific’, you have to select ‘user specific’ in ‘profile mode’. In ‘select SIM’ two option to choose ‘SIM1’ and ‘SIM2’use same in which you activated Internet.  Next two options are ‘Java SIM1 Profile’ and ‘Java SIM2 Profile’. To edit this, it depends on what you have selected in ‘select SIM’; if you have selected ‘SIM2’ then ignore ‘Java SIM1 Profile’ and directly go to ‘Java SIM2 Profile’ and select the same setting which you have activated. (Example: Airtel GPRS, Idea Internet, TATA DOCOMO INTERNET) note that, for Tata Docomo settings, in Micromax mobile it shows ‘Virtual Proxy’ instead of showing TATA DOCOMO INTERNET. Once you done this, you can start (launch) Opera Mini for browsing.

Gtalk (Google Talk) is very popular Instant messaging application provided by Google. In Micromax q5 it is available to use, to make it run we need to make same setting as we did to Opera mini, (This time I will show settings using Tata Docomo, as I putted Docomo SIM in SIM2 slot).

Go to ‘menu’, go to ‘IM’, and go to ‘Google Talk’, now go to ‘Network Profile’ ‘Select SIM’ as SIM2’, and Java SIM2 Profile : Virtual proxy (Micromax show Tata Docomo as Virtual Proxy). Now go back and select launch, now put your Gmail ID and password to use Google talk on your Micromax mobile.

To use facebook, msn, Nimbuzz, Ebuddy, Google maps and other Internet applications in Micromax you have to do same settings which I have show in Opera mini and Gtalk.

NOTE: In Micromax mobile you have to do manual settings for each and every Internet related applications, Micromax doesn’t make your installed setting as default to all applications.
